READING PACKETS for GRADES 3-8 – Links

There are 5 short (2-3 page) reading selections for each grade.  Each reading selection is followed by 10 short or long response questions. The cover page of each reading packet shows the 5 selections for every grade. It is important to print out this first page so that you have the key for each grade level. When you look at the cover page, note that 2 out of the 5 reading selections for each grade are repeated in other grades, although they have only been printed out once in the packet. That means that you must use the cover key to locate the reading selection you want. Note that the FIRST reading selection in each grade is a grade below, and the LAST selection, Reading Selection #5, is a grade above. The 3 reading selections in the middle (#2, #3, and #4) are at grade level. Reading Packet I:  3rd – 5th Grades – 49 pages Reading Packet II:  6th – 8th Grades – 48 pages You can scroll through the packets and print out only the reading selections you need for your students. Be aware that many students will be reading at below grade level. READING STRATEGIES – 2 pages
